Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

Applies to the OmniQ Android app (com.sruraj.omniq)

OmniQ is an online marketplace in India where buyers order goods from independent sellers. This policy explains exactly what personal data the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can get it deleted. It is written to describe what the software actually does.

The short version. We collect the details needed to create your account and deliver your orders: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address. We do not collect your location, we do not use your camera, we do not run any advertising, analytics or tracking software, and we do not sell your data to anyone. Orders are Cash on Delivery, so we never handle your card or bank details. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time and it happens immediately.

1. Who is responsible for your data

OmniQ is operated by Sru Raj Sinha, a sole proprietor trading as “OmniQ”, based in India. For anything in this policy, including privacy requests, contact:

Email: srusinha092@gmail.com

We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 days.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

DataWhen it is collectedWhy
Email address and password When you create an account To identify you and sign you in. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in readable form.
Full name Sign-up and profile So sellers know who to deliver to, and to address you in the app.
Phone number Profile and checkout So the seller or delivery agent can contact you about your order.
Delivery address and PIN code Profile and checkout To deliver your order and to check whether we serve your area.
Photos you choose Only if you are a seller listing a product, or an administrator uploading a banner To display the product image. We only ever open your photo library when you tap to add an image, and we only receive the specific images you pick. Buyers are never asked for photos.
Seller business details If you register as a seller To operate your storefront and route orders and payouts to you.

Information created as you use the app

DataWhy
Cart contents So your cart survives closing the app and switching devices.
Order history — items, quantities, prices, delivery address, status and timestamps To process and track orders, handle disputes, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
Your account role (buyer, seller or administrator) To decide which parts of the app you can use.

3. What we deliberately do not collect

This section is here because it is unusual, and because you should be able to hold us to it. The OmniQ app does not collect any of the following:

  • Location. Not precise, not approximate. The app requests no location permission at all, and the permission is explicitly stripped from the app package. Serviceability is checked from the PIN code you type in, not from your device.
  • Camera, microphone or audio. These permissions are explicitly stripped from the app package. The app can open your photo library on request, but it cannot take a photo or record you.
  • Payment or financial information. All orders are Cash on Delivery. There is no payment gateway in the app, so no card, UPI or bank details are ever entered or stored.
  • Advertising, analytics or tracking. There is no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no advertising identifier. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • Contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs or installed apps.
  • Push notification tokens. The app sends no push notifications.

4. How your data is used

We use your data only to:

  • create and secure your account, and sign you in;
  • show you products and keep your cart;
  • place, deliver, track and support your orders;
  • let sellers fulfil the orders you place with them;
  • prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the marketplace safe;
  • meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we do not sell or rent it.

5. Who your data is shared with

Sellers

OmniQ is a marketplace, so this one matters. When you place an order, the seller you ordered from receives your name, phone number and delivery address for that order. They need it to deliver. Sellers only ever see the orders placed with them, and they never see your password or your orders with other sellers.

Service providers

ProviderRoleWhat they hold
Supabase Database and authentication Your account, profile, cart and orders. Acts as our data processor.
Microsoft Azure Application hosting Processes requests in transit. Our backend services run here.
Google Play App distribution Handles installation and updates under Google's own privacy policy. We receive no personal data from Play.

Legal disclosure

We may disclose data where we are legally required to, such as a valid order from a court or law enforcement agency, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

6. Where your data is stored

Our infrastructure runs on servers operated by the providers above, which may be located outside India, including in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. By using OmniQ you consent to this transfer.

7. How your data is protected

  • All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS.
  • Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never stored in readable form.
  • Database row-level security means one account cannot read another account's rows, even if the app were tampered with.
  • Session tokens are cryptographically signed and verified on every request.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Account and profile data — until you delete your account.
  • Cart contents — until you clear the cart or delete your account.
  • Order records — retained after account deletion in anonymised form, with your name, phone number and delivery address stripped out and the link to your account removed. Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of transactions; keeping them without identifying details is how we meet that duty without keeping data about you.

9. Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Data & Privacy → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no waiting period and no review step.

Without the app: see Delete Your Account.

When you delete your account we immediately:

  • erase your name, email address, phone number, saved addresses and PIN code;
  • delete your sign-in credentials, so the account can no longer be used;
  • empty and delete your cart;
  • remove your name and address from past orders and unlink them from you;
  • unlink any seller storefront from you as a person.

This cannot be undone. Your account cannot be recovered afterwards.

10. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable law, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected — you can edit most of it in the app directly;
  • have your data erased, which you can do yourself at any time (section 9);
  • withdraw consent, by deleting your account;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated;
  • complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you believe we have mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these, email srusinha092@gmail.com.

11. Children

OmniQ is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, since ordering goods forms a contract. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change materially affects how we handle your data, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use OmniQ after a change means you accept the updated policy.
